Twin brothers at sunset, feeling of Love, compassion & togetherness.

Last week I went for camping at lake side beach park on the shores of Lake Ontario met these two twins having a conversation while the sun was going home, a close conversation with your loved one, hard to find in our current fast pacing world, especially in a serene calm sunset evening.

Sunsets at lakes shores are amazing, bright colors at the horizon with sparking water, changing its bright color, slowly dimming as if everything is being put to rest. Surely it had an effect of calmness on our mind , making it empty, rejuvenating the mind energy lost. Try it out watch a sunset before you sleep yu will have certainly a better sound sleep than usual, at least I had.

Oop’s I forgot to tell you the location, well all of the Lake Ontario lake shore is amazing , the one this picture is coming from is Lake side Beach state park in Waterport NY near Albion in western newyork & yes if you visit waterport do visit browns berry patch & pick your own strawberries not to mention I loved there green apple Twizzlers, just out of the world.

Last night I saw a dream, I am driving a train an old steam engine train not sure where, well when I woke up on the morning, my love for trains grew more strong & took me out me to the past, not to the time we discovered wheels, to the time we started using them with power, the power of steam.

I am so fortunate to visit a place full of history & proof of the hard work, perished with tehcnical minds of the past, we owe our present to this past.

Harvest festival celebrated in Cambria NY(town established in 1808) at Harris Steam farm – home to the largest collection of operating steam traction engines in NEW YORK State. Quite an amazing collection, a small steam engine train(crown locomotive) for kids running on railroad built in there back yard reminding the times of open air train travels such a fascination for kids including me.John Smith’s Rosenthal Corn Husker/Shredder big enough to look like a strong steam engine still in working condition seperating corn & the husk.

The owners must a spent a fortune in keeping these engines to this immaculate condition & they where kind enoguh providing pop corn & peeled apples, peeled by an amazing apple peeler device can’t describe but was doing its job pretty well.

I admire the respect, love & facination the owners have for the past which proved to be stepping stone of our current & future.Hats off for these guys, look to there site & know more about them at http://www.harrissteamfarm.net.

Here comes April & we have some warm sun, after 5 months of snowy winter seemed like a good day to go out hiking. So let’s go to local secret treasure, Eternal flame Falls located in Chestnut Ridge Park , Orchard Park (Near Buffalo Western New York).

This was first time I visited this place , was a bit susceptible ,still cold & lots of snow on ground. As usual kids were excited so we did it.

The sun was smiling for us & we started the walk with lots of hi’s to fellow trekkers with & without big dogs which made me feel good at least we are not the only ones , quite icy stream walk with lots of skiing/sliding challenges on the trail, melting snow , loose soil made the walk somewhat scary at places but exciting. Learning team work for kids is so easy this way, caring for others comes naturally out of these situations.

We took around 45 minutes to get to the falls with soaked shoes , but what a feeling! seeing fire under water, I had hard time explaining my 5 year old why there’s a fire under this cold water, for him it’s all coming from a harry potter movie, with his inquisitive mind, more question, strange imaginations, is there a castle under that fire? a harry potter castle? , can we go inside , may be there’s a secret chamber beneath it.

Any Body interested could use GPS co-ordinates 42.701717, -78.751312 it’s easy, go find it.

Friday evening, week long tired, just wanted to sit & relax – here comes my five year old, papa do you know what a leprechaun is ! I was like what !and he gave me a short story about leprechaun’s, our enthusiasm to know & cherish more of mystical characters never stops, be a adult or a five year old.
My kid mind went back & googled leprechauns & result was really exciting short stories, there appearance there behavior is real fun.

It’s like every culture, religion has some mischief characters which spice our heritage.

Leprechauns an Irish mischief, little Irish fairies, fairy in Irish Folklore, a green old man clad in a red or green coat enjoys partaking in mischief right out from Irish Mythology.

Leprechauns spend all their time busily making shoes, and store away all their coins in a hidden pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, wow that would be hard to find, If ever captured by a human, the Leprechaun has the magical power to grant three wishes in exchange for their release. Well I would love to see/meet one for sure, I hope there are few left in Ireland .

It’s been three years I moved to Western New York this place is “special” all in extremes.

Winters bring the world to a stand still here , it’s bone chilling cold, almost everything seems frozen.

Well I collected my strength & went for a walk with my son to Niagara falls which never frozes, at first, it seemed like the chilling wind will crack our bare faces, then we started enjoying, the white world clean calm , & crystal clear.

Kids dressed in colorful heavy winter clothes playing in snow having there frozen fun, teasing the trees “See we love frozen days”.

Soon spring will be here & we all will have our life back.

January 11th , 2011.

Twitchy the monkey, well it seemed like a happy monkey, to my five year old , so we gave him the name “twitchy monkey” goes on his twitchy eye.

Cartoon characters, weird imagination of some one but they all are inspired from nature in some form available all over around us, not sure if we have a cartoon character with one eye blown out of proportion then the other one , do tell me if you know one or we can suggest Disney to make one us .

February 12th, 2011.

We haven’t seen this amount of snow in last three years seems like I moved to North Pole.

Don’t remember who said, memories are holding onto the things you love, true I feel, but may be not, we do remember everything bitter or sweet, love or hatred, everything is deserted somewhere in the subconsious sense of mind flashes us the experiences time again & again.

We almost live through bad times cherishing the good memories we had, probably this way it’s easier to persue the good times.

Our Memory life cycle probably starts with childhood, (as I personally don’t recall any thing from my Infancy stage), we start writing memories of learning walking, running & what not, move to Adolescence probably most of megabytes are used up this time, mostly writing about nuisances we did & friends (including girls), then starts the adulthood most challenging time, no time for memories but they are still written as experiences, & then one day we realize oh! we are settled, got family, got kids, a bit relaxed life now, then we make memories with our family for the time we will wait to meet the eternal truth.

Wow memories!

Well god gave us expanding megabytes of memory not to worry, so keep writing memories.

Downtown Seattle from Space needle, well I visited Seattle this weekend, big city full of charms for life enthusiasts to live play & worship the cosmopolitan culture the world has adapted to.

Amazingly people out there say, it’s 237 Rainy days in Seattle & I was there, a auspicious day when it was all sunny, the clear sky was making fun of the clean sparkling blue water of Elliot Bay as if conveying him see it’s my day today.

I always find it easy to fall in love with a city near water but Seattle has its own uniqueness, while walking in Pikes Market it seemed like it’s a hub of cultures from all over the world right from somebody singing Hotel California & right around the corner someone from Vietnam singing something I don’t understand but was amazing. The passionate fishmongers crew throwing fish & entertaining the customers with lots of attitude felt lively.

Fresh, colorful flowers, amazingly created different styles of bouquets mostly by Chinese workers, had given the whole market a unique color & fragrance. Spiced colorful peppers probably from a Indian Farm (Sidhu Farm) was making the shops seemed like a garden of colors striped together in unique shapes. Fresh fruits vegetables it was like I was in a place full of positive energy, life & dynamism.

Well there was lots of other attractions can’t write it all it’s a feeling some sort of mesmerizing effect on the mind lets you feel the world with no boundaries & hatred just colors & colors, visit it someday for sure you are gonna love it.

Buffalo – Birth place of chicken wings well known as America’s greatest bar food.

March 4, 1964 Teressa Bellissimo created chicken wings, deep frying unused part of a chicken , “WINGS” , then smothered it in a spicy sauce & served with celery & blue chease to his son’s hungry friends which was unusual to them but it was a history born.

#National Buffalo Wing Festival is a weekend festival held at Coca-Cola Field in downtown Buffalo, New York celebrating the Buffalo style chicken wing. The festival is held on Labor Day weekend and culminates with the IFOCE sanctioned Buffalo Wing eating contest.

The first festival was held in 2002. Founder Drew Cerza, called the “Wing King” by The Buffalo News, was said to have modeled the event on a fictitious festival from the movie Osmosis Jones. Though it has been claimed that this is the first festival of its kind, WingStock on Main Street in Downtown Buffalo was held annually prior to the first National Buffalo Wing Festival.

It is estimated that a quarter of a million people have attended the event since its inception.
